Prima provocare artistică pentru trunchiurile de cireş. Cu sprijinul MNAC, care pune la dispoziţie Sala Dalles, configurăm o primă variantă de expunere în spaţiu convenţional. Tema acţiunii, simularea unei expuneri în vederea realizării unui foarte scurt metraj de prezentare a proiectului. Aveam de găsit o posibilă soluţie de panotare şi un scenariu pe cât posibil elocvent. La prima lor şedinţă foto, cireşii au fost culcaţi pe podeaua galeriei, apoi ridicaţi unul câte unul. La sfârşitul secvenţei cei 30 de copaci reuşeau să creeze o senzaţie copleşitoare. Cele câteva minute de film, împreună cu fotografii realizate de-a lungul timpului alcătuiesc prima imagine coerentă a proiectului, care îşi capătă în această etapă şi numele, 412 X 4, scopul final al acţiunii noastre, plantarea a 1648 de pomi, în concordanţă cu legislaţia în vigoare. 2010 January 10th, Dalles Hall
For the first time, cherry trunks challenge their status as artwork. Supported by MNAC Museum, that allowed us the use of Dalles Hall, we forge the first version of the exhibition in conventional surroundings. The aim of this exercise: to simulate the future art installation in view of shooting a film clip about our project. We were there to find out the concept of the show setting and to produce a convincing scenario for the clip. During the first shooting session, the cherries are lied down on the floor of the gallery, and then raised one after another. Ultimately, the thirty standing trees convey a powerful, overwhelming feeling. The few minutes-long film clip mixes the footage shot that evening with still photos taken previously to give the first coherent image of the project. This is the moment when the project finds its title – 412 x 4 - bringing to mind the final scope of the entire concept: to plant 1648 trees, respectfully to the law..(photo)
