Sculptorul Virgil Scripcariu este invitat la Tippingpoint, o întâlnire între artişti şi oameni de ştiinţă pe tema schimbărilor climaterice. Filosofia evenimentului porneşte de la idea că actul artistic, prin resorturile lui, poate avea un impact important asupra conştiinţei colective. Datele acestei întruniri se potrivesc mănuşă proiectului nostru. Avem aceleaşi premize, în fapt, aceleaşi speranţe. Aşa ajunge povestea cireşilor la Bruxelles, sub forma scurt metrajului “412 X 4. Romania”.

Virgil Scripcariu, the sculptor, is invited to Tippingpoint – a meeting between artists and climate-change researchers. The philosophy behind this event proceeds from the idea that the act of art, through its proper driving forces, can impact the collective conscience. The programme of this encounter matches exactly our project. We got similar prerequisites; we share the same expectations. This is how the tale of cherry trees reached Brussels: as a short film titled “412 x 4, Romania”.
